Functional neurology is the study of the nervous system; the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves from a physiological rather than a pathological point of view. In essence how the nervous system is malfunctioning and how it may be rehabilitated through specific stimulation techniques, known as novel patient specific neural rehabilitation exercises. The foundation of functional neurology is the science of neural plasticity.
Parkinson’s Disease and related movement disorders (see the video below), Dystonia, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke rehabilitation, Migraines and other headaches thorough targeted sensory stimulation which is known to cause structural changes in the brain and spinally cord, known as neuroplasticity. The results our patients have obtained using functional neurology techniques can be seen by visiting our youtube channel.
